One of my favorite and most memorable weddings of the year was Tara and Mark's intimate Harvey House wedding on June 14, 2025. The couple chose to have a small wedding dinner for their closest family and friends with cocktails, yummy appetizers, and delicious entrees. They had so many thoughtful touches throughout the day. Mark got ready at a cool local barber with his friends where they got clean shaven and ready for the day. This was such a unique way to spend the morning with groomsmen! The couple had written letters to each other to read the morning of their wedding. Tara got ready with her mom and sister at The Saddlery before being whisked away to the wedding ceremony by her chauffeur in a 1939 vintage Cadillac.
Today also happened to be the No Kings rally in Madison, so thousands of protestors lined state street to march to the Capitol which made the short drive from the getting ready location to the church very interesting! After a little bit of stress getting the bride to the church due to the protests, the ceremony at Holy Redeemer ended up being emotional and exciting.
After the ceremony, we took family photos in the church. The couple left their ceremony in style with a confetti exit and hopped right in the vintage car. The driver even added the “JUST MARRIED” sign on the back as a surprise for the couple. How cute is that?? What a fairytale!! The vintage car drove the couple and their small wedding party to Period Garden Park for some portraits. It was a gorgeous sunny day.
The evening started with delicious cocktails and appetizers in The Office at the Harvey House. The tablescapes with gorgeous flowers and candles were so stunning. Guests feasted on wonderful entrees from Harvey House while family and friends shared heartfelt speeches and toasts for the couple. The evening ended with the couple cutting their cake by candlelight, having a private first dance, and once again being whisked away in the limo after a sparkler exit from the restaurant.
