Katie and Eric got married on a warm and sunny fall day in September. One of my favorite parts about being a wedding photographer is getting to know the couple and their love story. Katie and Eric’s love story is a sweet one. As self-proclaimed nerds they love reading, and they often read together. They also love being outdoors and have gone adventure traveling together. I travel a lot but some of their stories were so cool they made me want to step up my travel game!
Their ceremony was held outside at the East Side Club with a stunning backdrop of Lake Monona and views of downtown Madison. After the ceremony, the wedding party went downtown to the capitol square to take photos. Weddings with large bridal parties are so much fun. The bridal party stopped for a drink at The Old Fashioned to toast the newly married couple. We returned to the venue for a taco bar dinner, cake, and dancing. The sun set over lake Monona was a beautiful end to Katie and Eric’s wedding night.
