Mitchell Domes

photos by Brianna Kraft Photography

Are you a plant lover hoping to get married in a gigantic greenhouse among the most unique flora? Mitchell Domes might be the perfect wedding venue for you. Mitchell Domes are a group of three geodesic horiculture conservatories in Milwaukee. The three greenhouse domes are home to different climates and plants. There is a Tropical dome, a Desert dome, and the Show dome (usually with flowers and plants native to Wisconsin). Want to host your ceremony in the desert but in Milwaukee?? Look no further! All of the domes can host up to 30 guests for a wedding ceremony. Receptions can also be held in the atrium or you can choose another off-site location nearby (such as Greenhouse no. 7) to host your reception. Mitchell domes is one of the most unique greenhouse wedding venues in Wisconsin!

The Tinsmith

The Tinsmith is a historic warehouse building that has been transformed into an industrial, modern, and elegant wedding venue close to downtown Madison. The space has separate, unique ceremony and reception spaces that each seat 200 guests. The space has fantastic natural light due to the glass greenhouse roof and the plethora of plants and looks great without needing too much decorating. This venue has quickly become one of the most popular and sought after venues in town since it opened a few years ago.

Are you a plant lover hoping to get married in a bright and airy greenhouse? Look no further! Greenhouse No. 7 might be the perfect wedding venue for you. Adjacent to the domes in Mitchell Park, Greenhouse no. 7 is one of the most unique greenhouse wedding venues in Wisconsin. Both ceremonies and receptions can be held in the greenhouse. The space is a blank slate for creativity and versatility and of course has the most gorgeous natural light. You can also head over to the Mitchell Domes for portraits in the desert dome, tropical dome, or show dome.

Olbrich Botanical Gardens & Bolz Conservatory

photos by Brianna Kraft Photography

Olbrich Botanical Gardens is one of the most beautiful places in Madison to get married. The outdoor gardens have a variety of plants and flowers and romantic walking paths to explore. The venue has several newly constructed and modern event rental spaces to have your indoor ceremony and reception. You can also have your ceremony in either the Bolz Conservatory, outdoors in the gardens, or in your rental space. With a little extra planning, you can also use the glass roof conservatory filled with tropical plants as a backdrop for your wedding day.

Things to note:

You can only take photos inside the conservatory if you book your wedding ceremony inside the conservatory. If you plan to book one of the other rental areas for your wedding reception, you can also add on the rental of the conservatory for $150 to any other rental space that you have booked at Olbrich.
